Community
Highlander’s curriculum is enriched by the many opportunities to serve and participate in our Lake Highlands community.
The sixth grade class leads and organizes the school’s participation in community service and charity projects. Each year, Highlander participates in a fall and a spring project. Whether it’s putting together soldier care packages for Lake Highlands Military Moms or collecting food for The Wilkinson Center food pantry, Highlander students learn to share God’s love through service.
Other ways Highlander students experience our community include singing at area nursing homes, participating in the Lake Highlands Junior Women’s League’s Run the Highlands, marching in the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands’ Fourth of July Parade, neighborhood Christmas caroling, and more.
